What you will do

• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for configuration and experimentation infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance the architecture for feature flagging and dynamic configuration systems.
• Build scalable distributed infrastructure and shared libraries for high-volume experimentation.
• Develop platforms and tooling for safely shipping config changes and measuring impact.
• Establish standards and frameworks for configuration management to drive developer productivity.

Requirements

• Deep experience with configuration management, feature flagging, or experimentation platforms at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go.
• Experience with container orchestration and large-scale infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting internal partners.
• Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering for developer infrastructure.
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale complex projects or teams.
• Experience with tools like Statsig, GrowthBook, LaunchDarkly, or Optimizely.
• Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks, randomization, and statistical analysis.
• Experience building CLI tools and integrating config into CI/CD pipelines.
