Location: Must be based in San José, Costa Rica. The role follows a hybrid work model with 4 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Oversee the art department by hiring, training, and mentoring creative staff.
• Establish and maintain high standards for production, quality, and client service.
• Align team priorities with business objectives to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
• Develop presentation approaches, styles, and techniques for the creative team.
• Analyze market trends, consumer needs, and competitor landscapes to track campaign performance.
• Propose and implement new processes and tools to support design operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in fine art, graphic design, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in graphic design, including 4+ years in a management or art director role.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and strong skills in typography, layout, and prototyping.
• Solid knowledge of photography, video production, and web development.
• Strong creative vision with a clear understanding of business objectives.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team of creatives.
