What you will do

• Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll while ensuring high accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain comprehensive records of wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax filings.
• Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments regarding employee lifecycle changes.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Continuously improve payroll processes and controls using modern tools and AI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR.
• 5+ years of professional payroll processing experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting tools.
• Deep understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Sofia.

Nice to have

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
• Experience with multi-state or international payroll.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and controls.
• Experience with systems like ADP, Workday, or Cloudpay.
