TL;DR

Risk Management Analyst (Workers' Compensation): Managing state-mandated reporting and compliance for self-insured clients with an accent on payroll data collection, actuarial report coordination, and strict deadline adherence. Location: Must be based in the U.S. (100% Remote)

Salary: $60 - $90/hour

What you will do

  • Maintain and adhere to a schedule of reporting requirements for each client by entity and state.
  • Request and obtain payroll, class codes, hours, and loss information from clients and TPAs.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure compliance with strict state deadlines.
  • Input information into various state web portals and guide clients through certification processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of all activities, including data requests and proof of payments.
  • Review surety bonds and security requirements with state authorities.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the U.S.
  • Experience conducting annual/quarterly filings in multiple states within risk management, HR, or payroll.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and meet tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented approach to data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to manage payroll funds and actuarial documentation.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in Workers’ Compensation or related insurance fields.
  • Prior experience working within a consulting firm or brokerage.
