Consultant Data Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Consultant Data Engineer (AI): Developing and optimizing data pipelines and cloud infrastructure for client projects and internal AI solutions with an accent on cloud architecture, containerization, and CI/CD. Focus on building scalable ETL processes, managing Kubernetes clusters, and implementing secure ML-adapted infrastructures.

What you will do

• Design and optimize cloud architectures on GCP, AWS, and Azure, managing storage, compute services, and cost optimization via Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker and Kubernetes, specifically tailored for Data Science workloads.
• Develop server-side tools, REST API servers, and authentication systems using Python.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and deployment of internal platforms and client-site projects.
• Build ETL scripts for bulk data processing within Big Data environments.
• Research and implement specialized infrastructure and services to support the training and deployment of Machine Learning models.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Econometrics, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative Finance).
• 1-3 years of professional experience in Data, DevOps, Cloud, or Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and solid foundations in SQL (ideally PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (ideally MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Competence with Docker and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Excellent English and Dutch verbal and written skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Gitlab-CE ecosystem.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Knowledge of application security, including OAuth2, HTTPS, and certificate management.
