What you will do
- Own the target architecture for Core Banking re-platforming, including technology stack selection and migration approach.
- Partner with Sales and delivery teams on presales activities, leading technical workshops and translating requirements into solutions.
- Research and prototype new technologies such as real-time payments architectures and AI/ML applications in banking.
- Set engineering standards for the Unit and lead the architecture council.
- Establish lightweight processes for architectural decisions and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years in software architecture with at least 5 years specifically in financial services.
- Proven track record of architecting banking systems or comparable large-scale platforms.
- Experience leading legacy-to-modern modernization projects in the financial sector.
- Strong background in presales and client-facing architecture.
- Proficiency with Java, .NET, Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Athens, Greece.
