TL;DR
Social Media Manager (Education): Creating and managing engaging organic content across core social channels to grow the younger audience base with an accent on social-first video production and community engagement. Focus on filming and editing high-impact short-form content, managing student creator networks, and optimizing campaigns based on performance data.
Location: Hybrid (Milton Keynes). Must be based in the UK and attend the Milton Keynes office at least once per week (Tuesdays), with additional travel for shoots and events.
Salary: £38,784 – £46,049

What you will do
- Produce and publish organic content for Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Film and edit social-first video, photography, and simple designs optimized for different platforms.
- Collaborate with students and academics to capture authentic stories and behind-the-scenes content.
- Manage a network of student content creators and handle day-to-day community engagement.
- Monitor platform analytics to optimize content effectiveness and reach in real-time.
- Provide social media best practice guidance across the organization to improve output quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing brand social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
- Strong skills in filming and editing short-form video content that drives engagement.
- Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
- Excellent copywriting skills for clear, engaging, and platform-appropriate content.
- Experience managing online communities and mitigating reputational risks.
- Must be based in the UK and able to attend the Milton Keynes office at least once per week.

- Confidence appearing on camera and presenting as a visible brand voice.
- Experience in the higher education sector or working specifically with younger audiences.
- Experience collaborating with paid media teams and agencies to amplify campaigns.
