TL;DR
Embedded SW Developer (Zephyr): Developing production-grade software for Zephyr RTOS on NXP MCUs with an accent on drivers, subsystems, and board bring-up. Focus on upstreaming features to the Zephyr community, diagnosing low-level hardware issues, and aligning MCU roadmaps with connectivity and security features.
Location: Hybrid (Brno or Roznov, Czech Republic). Must have a valid visa and work permit to work in the Czech Republic.

What you will do
- Implement drivers, subsystems, and middleware for Zephyr (device tree, DTS bindings, Kconfig).
- Perform board and SoC bring-up, including clock, pinmux, power, boot, and memory maps.
- Contribute to the open-source community through PRs, reviews, and RFCs.
- Diagnose low-level issues using debuggers, traces, and logic analyzers.
- Align the NXP roadmap with Zephyr's security, connectivity, and low power features.
Requirements
- Practical experience with embedded programming in C and hardware interaction.
- Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture fundamentals.
- Analytical mindset and reliable debugging skills for embedded targets.
- Working knowledge of GIT or other version control tools.
- English: B2+ proficiency (written and spoken) required.
- Must possess a valid work permit for the Czech Republic.
Nice to have
- Experience with Zephyr RTOS (device tree, Kconfig, west).
- Knowledge of MCU interfaces: SPI, I²C, UART, I²S, SDIO.
- Experience with the MCUXpresso ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and build tools such as make.
