What you will do
- Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of mission-critical web applications used for real-time autonomous vehicle support.
- Lead frontend and backend infrastructure, including the development of robust APIs and integration with upstream and downstream services.
- Scale the Fleet Response platform to meet stringent reliability, performance, and functionality requirements.
- Guide cross-functional engineers on the optimal utilization and design of web application systems.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers on infrastructure design, technical execution, and engineering best practices.
- Partner with SRE teams to drive global scalability and maintain high availability of real-time platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
- 5+ years of industry experience with full-stack web applications (frontend and backend).
- Proficiency with web client architectures, specifically Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
- Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex, multi-quarter projects.
- Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View or San Francisco, California.
Nice to have
- Experience with C++.
- Background in building high-reliability distributed systems or RPC services.
- Proven track record of successful partnerships with SRE teams.
- Ability to effectively bridge communication between technical and non-technical groups.
