Accountant (EdTech)

What you will do

• Execute month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure strict compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Manage external audits and oversee tax compliance, including GST and corporate tax.
• Contribute to Sage ERP Finance projects and system implementations.

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of post-qualified experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (experience with NZ IFRS or US GAAP is advantageous).
• Proficiency in Excel and experience utilizing ERP systems.
• Must be based in Auckland, New Zealand for the hybrid work arrangement.
