TL;DR
ServiceNow Developer (Backend): Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions including ITSM, CSM, ITOM modules and integrations with an accent on platform components and API integrations. Focus on building and enhancing functionality, participating in Agile teams, and delivering customer-focused outcomes.
Location: Onsite in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane, Australia. Australian citizenship and Baseline security clearance required.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions aligned with best practices and customer needs.
- Build and enhance functionality using Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, and Flow Designer.
- Support delivery across ITSM, CSM, ITOM modules and integrations using Integration Hub and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with architects, developers, BAs, and clients.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach understanding business processes and outcomes.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen with Baseline security clearance minimum.
- 3–5 years experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong knowledge of core platform components and solid JavaScript skills.
- Experience with integrations using Integration Hub, REST APIs, and data imports.
- Comfortable working in Agile teams with strong communication skills.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM or CSM).
- Integration Hub Fundamentals certification.
