What you will do

• Build and test complex electromechanical systems including sensors, pumps, and electronics.
• Collaborate with the product team to deploy systems to real users.
• Work with sensor, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to identify root causes of issues.
• Reproduce and characterize failure cases on the bench to validate corrective actions.
• Track and report troubleshooting findings to the engineering and product teams.

Requirements

• Engineering background with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience with hands-on prototyping of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with lab tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and command-line utilities.
• Must be available to work on-site 5 days a week in San Francisco.
• BS or expected BS in engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to occasionally lift or push up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude for debugging, scripting, or documentation.
• Master's degree in engineering.
