TL;DR
Business Development Representative (NYC): Prospecting and qualifying target accounts to generate new business opportunities with an accent on outbound calls, relationship building, and managing sales data/metrics. Focus on identifying decision-makers, determining buying readiness and timelines, and executing daily outreach to move prospects through the revenue funnel.
Location: New York Metro Area (NYC office at least three days a week: Tuesday–Thursday). Hybrid working model.
Salary: $64,350 per year base; variable compensation component available.

What you will do
- Prospect, identify, initiate, develop, and nurture business relationships and opportunities in target accounts to generate new business.
- Perform timely outbound calls and other outreach (e.g., email) to prospect new opportunities.
- Identify key decision-makers and determine buying readiness and timelines.
- Capture and manage sales information, data, and metrics.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute campaigns and support the top end of the revenue funnel.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in lead generation or outbound sales.
- Strong interest in, or experience working for, a SaaS organization.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, independent self-starter with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems; can multi-task and shift priorities.
- Must be located in the New York Metro Area and willing to work from the NYC office at least three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday).
Nice to have
- Experience with Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Experience or knowledge in HR or HR tech platforms.
