Information Security Engineer (AppSec)

TL;DR

Information Security Engineer (AppSec) Intern: Supporting the security of financial systems by identifying vulnerabilities and testing applications with an accent on SAST/DAST scanning and OWASP standards. Focus on contributing to security documentation, researching emerging threats, and collaborating with senior engineers to improve software safety.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Poland, Portugal, the UAE, or the UK. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the office.

Salary: PLN 9,100 gross monthly (Krakow/Poland)

What you will do

• Run SAST and DAST security scans to identify vulnerabilities and common OWASP issues.
• Review system configurations using established guidance and checklists.
• Document security test findings and share insights with senior engineering teams.
• Research emerging security threats and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
• Support developers by flagging security issues and suggesting actionable improvements.
• Participate in security training sessions and team discussions.

Requirements

• Currently in the penultimate year of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, maths, physics, or related fields (graduating in 2028).
• On track for a 2:1 or higher (or equivalent grade).
• Full-time availability for Summer 2027.
• Ability to travel to a Revolut office in the country of employment.
• Fluency in English.
• Portfolio of coding side projects or open-source contributions.
