TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (Vue): Building and testing responsive, accessible web interfaces for TrekBikes.com with an accent on Vue, TypeScript, and WCAG accessibility standards. Focus on translating Figma designs into components, integrating AI coding tools into the workflow, and contributing to the internal design system.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

What you will do

  • Build and test responsive, accessible web interfaces for TrekBikes.com using Vue and TypeScript.
  • Translate UI/UX designs from Figma into high-quality frontend components.
  • Integrate AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot into the daily development workflow.
  • Implement WCAG accessibility standards and web performance best practices.
  • Contribute to the internal design system and provide meaningful feedback during code reviews.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI Design, QA, and software delivery managers.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of professional frontend development experience.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks, with a strong preference for Vue.
  • Experience with TypeScript and Git for version control.
  • Ability to write effective prompts for AI tools to generate, explain, and debug code.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, coding bootcamp certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS and Storybook.
  • Familiarity with Nuxt, Webpack, NPM, and Vite.
  • Exposure to Contentful CMS and Agile environments using Jira.
  • Knowledge of Core Web Vitals and REST API integration patterns.
