Sr. Software Engineer

Salary: $101,000.00 - $172,000.00 (annual base)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and testing of software applications, creating expert design concepts and resolving complex issues with minimal oversight.
• Troubleshoot medium-complexity problems for major applications by breaking down tasks, investigating, and fixing bugs independently.
• Initiate independent designs that influence delivery approach, reviewing design alternatives to limit later rework.
• Develop and sustain software systems in a cross-functional environment, including writing engineering specifications and selecting development methodology after documenting requirements.
• Communicate clear project plans/designs and status updates; build partnerships with stakeholders and SMEs.
• Mentor and coach junior team members and support Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the country where work will be performed; unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience).
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and significant software development design/development experience.
• Experience with RESTful web services, relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server), and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Entities Framework).
• Experience designing/developing apps using cloud-based frameworks (e.g., Azure, AWS SDKs/services).
• Agile tooling experience (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, repositories).
