What you will do

• Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
• Partner with engineering and program management teams to expand existing accounts.
• Spearhead the creation of RFIs, RFPs, white papers, and unsolicited concept papers.
• Optimize sales processes to improve efficiency and revenue growth.
• Maintain situational awareness of acquisition pathways such as OTAs, MTA, SBIR/STTR, and IDIQ.
• Deliver high-quality outcomes to government and commercial stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of business development experience, ideally in defense-technology.
• Active security clearance required.
• Proven track record of closing contracts with USG agencies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of maritime customers and government programs.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to brief senior government officials and executives.

Nice to have

• Prior experience as a resource sponsor or in program offices (PAE, PEO, or PMWs).
• Prior military or government national security experience.
• MBA degree.
