What you will do

• Lead the technical execution of large-scale initiatives, such as unifying login systems and implementing role-based access controls.
• Architect and refactor identity and access systems serving donors, campaigns, and internal users.
• Partner with product and design teams to shape roadmaps and translate strategic goals into technical solutions.
• Serve as a technical consultant for architectural decisions, system design, and security best practices.
• Champion design patterns that improve platform maintainability and security posture.
• Mentor teammates and foster an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of professional experience leading complex technical initiatives.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (hirify.global is unable to sponsor work visas).
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and security best practices.
• Working familiarity with Ruby and TypeScript.
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with OAuth, OIDC, or JWT authentication patterns.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, or Docker.
• Curiosity about AI coding assistants as productivity tools.
