What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, reliable network solutions across cloud environments.
• Maintain a highly available cloud infrastructure edge for the Okta identity platform.
• Collect and analyze data to identify root causes for network-specific events.
• Automate AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Chef.
• Evolve systems by introducing changes to improve efficiency, scalability, and velocity.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) to access federal environments.
• 8+ years of experience in a Cloud Network Engineer role or related.
• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking stack (layer 2-7) and cloud VPC networking.
• Deep knowledge of AWS/GCP network concepts like Transit Gateway, VPN, and Direct Connect.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Golang and automation tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience in security-oriented cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto next-gen virtual firewalls.
• Experience with GCP-specific advanced architecture like Shared VPC topologies and BGP configurations.
