What you will do

• Manage and administer key database systems including Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and security.
• Develop and enforce best practices for data management and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on database-related projects and initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to keep systems at the cutting edge.
• Provide expert support for users navigating sophisticated data systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in database and application administration.
• Proficiency in Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
• Understanding of database architecture, tuning, and high availability solutions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Bogota, Colombia.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Google Cloud SQL.
