Senior Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain integrations with e-commerce platforms to ensure seamless functionality and adherence to best practices.
• Design and build reusable, reliable code for integrating platforms with external services and APIs.
• Optimize reliability and performance at scale, implementing fault tolerance and robust error handling strategies.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including API specifications and architectural designs.
• Collaborate with SRE, Data & AI, and Product teams to develop and launch new features from concept to delivery.
• Engage with platform partners and merchants to resolve technical challenges and implement improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional experience building and maintaining production services in Java.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Must be able to work from the Helsinki office in a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GraphQL and various API technologies.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or Shopware.
• Understanding of event-driven systems and webhook architecture.
• Familiarity with security best practices and architectural principles.
