Area Team Lead (Agriculture)

Location: Must be based in or be able to commute to Hedrick/Fremont, Iowa, USA. VISA sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available.

What you will do

• Coordinate production staff and resources to ensure smooth seed corn production operations.
• Monitor operational standards, safety, and housekeeping to maximize process efficiencies.
• Ensure product quality compliance according to the Quality Plan.
• Manage seed inventories and plan workforce and equipment for upcoming process orders.
• Support continuous improvement projects and assist supervisors with capital projects.
• Act as shift supervisor in their absence and perform technician duties when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, or agriculture.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn digital-based automation systems.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in warehouse environments.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Must have valid US work authorization (no VISA sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Associate degree or two-year technical diploma.
• Prior supervisory experience across production processes.
• Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing software.
• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies.
• Forklift operation experience.
