What you will do

• Lead valuation workstreams and prepare performance analysis for Board-level M&A and investment decisions.
• Design and develop holistic financial models for special projects and new business cases.
• Manage group-wide asset and goodwill impairment tests and purchase price allocations under IFRS and IDW standards.
• Determine the cost of capital for the E.ON Group and its business units.
• Optimize the valuation tool ecosystem and drive digital innovation within the group.
• Co-lead legal and arbitration procedures regarding valuation and advise units on regulatory exchanges.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance (Master's, Ph.D., CFA, or CVA preferred).
• Several years of professional experience in corporate finance, transaction services, or controlling.
• Experience leading valuation workstreams and managing senior-level decision processes in a group context.
• Deep expertise in financial modelling, capital market theory, and advanced MS Excel.
• Fluency in both English and German is required.
• Must be based in or able to work from Essen, Germany.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Financial Market Information Systems such as Bloomberg or S&P Capital IQ.
• Technical affinity and experience with programming, APIs, Power Apps, or Power BI.
