Salary: $115,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Design and implement multi-task learning (MTL) and multi-objective models to balance relevance, ad revenue, and efficiency.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into the core search loop for generative retrieval and semantic understanding.
• Build and tune hybrid retrieval systems combining sparse (lexical) and dense (vector) layers to maximize recall.
• Develop deep personalization features using purchase history, dietary constraints, and real-time intent.
• Perform in-depth search analysis to influence search roadmaps and report findings to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Statistics, etc.) with a focus on machine learning.
• 3–5 years of experience applying ML to real-world problems.
• Strong coding fluency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) applied to IR, ranking, or NLP.
• Solid grasp of Learning-to-Rank (LTR) and experience with Search or Recommender Systems in e-commerce.
