What you will do

• Develop, ship, and maintain features for Agentic Tools across the hirify.global monolith backend.
• Design and implement GraphQL and REST APIs to expose platform functionality to AI agents.
• Collaborate with Product Management, UX, and AI specialists to refine iterative product enhancements.
• Improve and extend automated testing using RSpec to ensure system reliability and quality.
• Participate in Tier 2 on-call rotations to troubleshoot production issues and enhance observability.
• Establish and share architectural standards for responsible AI integration across the team.

Requirements

• Experience building production applications with Ruby on Rails, including background jobs and data models.
• Proficiency in designing scalable and maintainable REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong practical experience using AI tooling in daily professional workflows.
• SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Must be based in Canada or the United Kingdom.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for a remote, asynchronous environment.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and shipping AI-powered backend features and integrations.
• Familiarity with Python backends.
• Familiarity with Vue frontends.
