What you will do
- Support field investigations, assessments, and monitoring programs across biological and environmental projects.
- Perform routine ground/surface water and soil sampling using industry-standard methods.
- Execute thorough field documentation, including safety tailgates, field logs, and chain of custodies.
- Operate and maintain field equipment such as organic vapor detectors, GPS units, and water quality instrumentation.
- Oversee environmental drilling operations, including monitoring well installation and abandonment.
- Assist in writing environmental and biological reports to interpret field and desktop study results.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs Degree in geology, hydrology, environmental science, engineering, or a relevant field.
- 1β5 years of related experience in environmental data collection.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain military base passes or security clearance.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification.
- Proficiency or ability to learn technical software such as ArcGIS and Rockworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
