What you will do
- Conduct full onboarding due diligence (CDD/EDD) for corporate clients, including identity verification and source of funds/wealth checks.
- Perform sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening as part of the onboarding process.
- Assign and validate client risk ratings using the risk-based approach (RBA) methodology.
- Identify red flags, escalate high-risk cases, and make informed risk-based decisions on client acceptance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Legal teams to clarify corporate structures and UBOs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support periodic KYC reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in AML onboarding or transaction monitoring in a bank, EMI, or PSP.
- Proven track record of independently handling complex corporate structures and UBO identification.
- English: C1 level required.
- Fluent Russian and Latvian languages are required.
- Must be based in Riga, Latvia for a hybrid work model.
