What you will do

• Design, build, and operate automated security capabilities to continuously improve the security posture.
• Analyze security trends and metrics to identify and execute opportunities for posture improvement.
• Lead cross-functional incident response efforts, including analysis, containment, and mitigation.
• Develop and refine security documentation, including policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Mentor and coach junior security engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• BS/BTech in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or 8+ years of professional security domain experience.
• 4+ years of experience acting as a trusted advisor and coaching other engineers.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Postgres, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS S3.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and integration, including experience with regex patterns.
• Deep understanding of HIPAA and regulatory requirements for protecting PII/PHI.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in the healthcare industry with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or clinical data.
• Hands-on experience with DSPM tools such as Wiz DSPM, BigID, Cyera, or Bedrock Data.
• Experience integrating security controls into ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with legal hold processes, data retention, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to generate automated metrics to measure program effectiveness.
