TL;DR

Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++): Designing and implementing firmware architecture for autonomous defense systems including launchers and drone controllers with an accent on real-time control, hardware bring-up, and low-level drivers. Focus on developing deterministic control loops, implementing secure OTA updates, and transitioning prototypes to production-ready hardware.

What you will do

  • Design robust firmware architecture for MCUs using bare-metal and RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
  • Develop low-level drivers for peripherals, sensors, RF modules, and power-management ICs.
  • Implement deterministic real-time control loops and manage interrupts, timing, and scheduling.
  • Conduct board bring-up and system debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD.
  • Own the prototype-to-production maturity path, including HITL testing and automated test benches.
  • Build secure bootloaders and reliable over-the-air (OTA) firmware update mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 2 to 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Proven experience taking at least one complete embedded product from initial prototype to mass production.
  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ with experience on ARM Cortex-M MCUs.
  • Deep understanding of communication buses: SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and CAN.
  • Strong discipline in version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated firmware test methodologies.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing drone, UAV, remote control, or radio communication firmware.
  • Experience designing RF link or wireless protocol firmware.
  • Background working with ruggedized, military, or industrial-grade systems.
  • Professional familiarity with Rust.
