What you will do
- Develop generative AI models for autonomous design space exploration in automotive engineering.
- Implement computational methods to evaluate and optimize engineering designs against multiple constraints and objectives.
- Integrate symbolic and learning-based approaches for rule-based engineering formulation and synthesis.
- Apply generative techniques to physical design problems involving components, structures, and systems in powertrain and vehicle development.
- Collaborate with international academic partners on AI explainability and transparency within the GREET project.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline (completed by August 2026).
- Eligibility for admission to a doctoral program (PhD).
- Strong foundational knowledge in LLMs, AI agents, machine learning, software architecture, or cyber-physical systems.
- Practical experience in LLM/RAG software development using Python and SQL.
- English: B2+ proficiency required.
- Location: Must be based in Graz, Austria.
