What you will do

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ledger accounts, and statutory financial reports.
• Manage interactions with external auditors and government authorities to ensure compliance.
• Validate month-end accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of reported results.
• Develop and maintain finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Define accounting system requirements and assist in system programming initiatives.
• Support business partners on accounting automation projects and ad-hoc financial tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 1-2 years of applicable work experience or fresh graduate status.
• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with US GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Penang, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• Active pursuit of certifications such as CPA, ACCA, MICPA, or MIA.
• Experience with automation tools like Power BI, Python, Power Automate, or SQL.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
