Salary: $124,000–$181,500 annually.

What you will do

• Translate complex customer objectives into executable mission concepts and system architectures.
• Develop and evaluate RF communications architectures, including link budgets and performance analysis.
• Perform system-level trade studies balancing performance, schedule, cost, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate across spacecraft, payload, ground segment, and operations teams to ensure mission success.
• Manage spectrum licensing and regulatory processes including FCC and ITU filings.
• Influence mission evolution and future capabilities throughout the operational lifetime of the satellites.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or Systems Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in satellite communications, space systems engineering, or mission architecture.
• Demonstrated experience developing RF communications architectures for LEO satellite systems.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret USG security clearance.
• Strong technical communication skills for working with customers and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical communications systems or hybrid RF/optical networks.
• Direct on-orbit operational experience with satellite communications.
• Experience with communications security architectures and encryption standards.
• Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
• Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline.
