Fixed Asset Accountant (AI Cloud)

TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (San Jose, CA). Must be present in the San Jose office 4 days per week.

Salary: $128,000 – $170,000

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, disposals, and impairment assessments in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 360).
• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to ensure accuracy against the general ledger.
• Calculate and record monthly depreciation for GPU hardware, data center infrastructure, and software.
• Partner with Supply Chain and DC Ops teams to evaluate capital vs. expense treatment for new purchases.
• Prepare fixed asset roll-forward schedules and supporting documentation for monthly and quarterly close.
• Support external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and explanations of accounting positions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of fixed asset or general ledger accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a high-growth technology or infrastructure company.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 360, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the San Jose office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in hardware-intensive technology companies (data centers, semiconductors, etc.).
• Familiarity with GPU or compute hardware procurement and asset tracking.
• Experience with FloQast or similar close management tools.
• CPA license or currently on the CPA track.
