What you will do
- Support external studios in shaping mobile game concepts from early ideation through prototype, soft launch, and live operations.
- Review and validate game concepts, prototypes, and feature designs against quality, retention, and monetization benchmarks.
- Provide actionable design feedback on core gameplay, FTUE, progression, economy, and long-term engagement.
- Analyze player behavior, A/B test results, and soft-launch data to identify design risks and improve product-market fit.
- Collaborate with Product, Analytics, UA, and Monetization teams to evaluate games using KPIs and market signals.
- Deconstruct competitor titles and mobile market trends to recommend new mechanics and genre opportunities to partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Game Designer, specifically within free-to-play mobile games.
- Deep understanding of core loops, FTUE, core progression, rewards, economies, and monetization.
- Experience designing or evaluating casual and hybrid-casual genres, particularly Puzzle, Idle, RPG, and Tower Defense.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret player data and turn KPIs (LTV, ARPDAU, ROAS, CPI) into actionable feedback.
- Excellent communication skills to provide constructive feedback and align internal stakeholders.
- Ability to balance player experience with commercial potential and production constraints.
Nice to have
- Experience collaborating with external studios, publishing teams, or distributed development partners.
- Prior design experience in successful Hybrid Casual titles.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, or FigJam for wireframing and design communication.
- Experience prototyping concepts using Unity, no-code, or AI tools.
- Track record of working on successful mobile F2P or AAA titles.
