Senior Demand Analyst (E-commerce)

Senior Demand Analyst (E-commerce/Supply Chain): Owning and improving the statistical baseline forecast for demand planning across the entire portfolio with an accent on forecast accuracy and model optimization. Focus on implementing AI/ML programs to drive a data-driven approach and mentoring the demand planning team.

Location: Hybrid (Munich, Germany) — 3 office days per week

What you will do

• Develop and validate statistical baseline forecasts from multiple data sources.
• Collaborate with Commercial teams to analyze historical market trends and demand drivers to refine forecast history.
• Monitor and optimize accuracy KPIs including MAPE, Bias, and Rolling Forecast Error through root cause analysis.
• Implement AI and machine learning programs to optimize a lean, agile, and data-driven forecasting approach.
• Share forecast updates, ranges, and underlying assumptions with consensus demand planners.
• Mentor and develop demand planning team members in advanced forecasting techniques.

Requirements

• Degree in business analytics, statistics, mathematics, economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain analytics managing multi-SKU portfolios.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical and ML forecasting methods, such as multivariate regression and time-series modelling.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Fluent English proficiency (C1) is required.
• Must be based in Munich or able to work from the Munich office 3 days per week.
