Senior Technical Account Manager (Fintech): Acting as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customers across Europe to guide complex API integrations and optimize payment flows with an accent on technical architecture and stakeholder management. What you will do
- Serve as the technical owner for a portfolio of enterprise customers, guiding the integration and scaling of APIs, SDKs, and system architectures.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical and operational challenges across the stack, coordinating with Engineering, Product, and Compliance teams.
- Act as a strategic partner for enterprise clients, aligning Airwallex solutions with their roadmaps and leading regular business/technical reviews (QBRs).
- Manage technical escalations and incidents, providing structured leadership and executive-ready communication.
- Partner with Account Executives and Managers to identify and shape upsell and cross-sell expansion opportunities.
- Monitor account health and prioritize initiatives using product usage data and commercial metrics.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role (TAM, Solutions Consultant, etc.) within payments, fintech, or SaaS.
- Strong technical foundation in APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and complex system integrations.
- Hands-on experience designing and supporting integrations for payment or financial product stacks.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise post-sale relationships and high-stakes technical escalations.
- Fluency in English (excellent written and verbal communication).
- Must be based in London to comply with the 3-day in-office policy.
Nice to have
- Deep domain knowledge of European payments landscape, including PSD2 and SEPA regulations.
- Proficiency in an additional major European language (e.g., German, French, Spanish, or Dutch).
- Experience using data analytics tools and querying to monitor product usage and client behavior.
- Previous experience working in a high-growth scale-up environment.
