What you will do
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for System, Software, and Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) Design Assurance processes for internal and supplier development.
- Review and approve Software/AEH life-cycle data to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Execute System Design Assurance Reviews according to ARP4754A/ARP4761 and support Certification Authorities reviews.
- Perform supplier oversight and reviews based on ARP4754A/ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Interface with FAA DERs and Certification Authorities for coordination and execution of compliance reviews.
- Maintain and control issues identified during design assurance activities until full resolution.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in System and Software/AEH Design Assurance for aerospace standards.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Deep experience with safety-critical systems complying with ARP4754A/B, ARP4761, DO-254, and DO-178C.
- Experience with multiple systems and software/AEH environments and tools.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, demanding environments using agile/lean methodologies.
- Must have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with Tool Qualification (DO-330) and Model Based Development/Verification (DO-331).
- Knowledge of DO-326, DO-356, and DO-355.
- Experience with System and Software/AEH developments specifically for an aircraft OEM.
- Familiarity with tools such as Polarion, Collaborator, Git/Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Teamcenter.
