What you will do

• Design and build scalable ML models using classic and generative AI techniques.
• Serve as the primary expert for machine learning inquiries and provide mentorship to the team.
• Advise on deploying models and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform using Vertex AI and BigQuery ML.
• Conduct research to stay at the forefront of AI and machine learning advancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical operational problems.
• Ensure the robustness, fairness, and ethical implications of all developed models.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Washington, DC Metro Area
• Extensive experience in classic machine learning methodologies like regression, classification, and clustering.
• Proven experience with generative AI models including GANs, VAEs, and LLMs.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and its ML services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification.
• Background working with the United States Air Force or Department of Defense.
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and practices.
• Strong track record in research and publications.
