Rehabilitation Counsellor

TL;DR

Rehabilitation Counsellor (Medical/Healthcare): Supporting safe and sustainable recovery and return to work for clients through collaborative stakeholder partnerships with an accent on vocational and ergonomic assessments. Focus on identifying recovery hurdles, managing complex case reporting, and achieving exceptional health outcomes within a multi-disciplinary team.

Location: Hybrid (Brisbane, Cairns, or Rockhampton). Must have appropriate approval to work in Australia.

What you will do

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to support safe, sustainable recovery and return to work.
• Identify recovery hurdles and develop problem-solving plans to achieve independence.
• Conduct Vocational, Pre-Employment, Activities of Daily Living, Workplace, and Ergonomic assessments.
• Manage comprehensive case management and reporting.
• Share expertise within a multi-disciplinary team to improve health outcomes.
• Travel to client sites using flexible work-from-home and office arrangements.

Requirements

• Full ASORC membership or AHPRA registration.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia.
• Ability to complete a criminal and bankruptcy check prior to employment.
• Flexibility to work across client sites, home, and office locations.
• Preference for experience in rehabilitation counselling.
