What you will do

• Conduct applied research to develop new rack scale architectures, methodologies, and technologies for computing systems.
• Move ideas from novel concepts through design, development, implementation, evaluation, and technology transfer.
• Collaborate with HPE Labs research teams and external partners as part of an innovation community.
• Develop and validate proofs-of-concept and first-of-a-kind solutions, including technology transfer activities.
• Apply expertise in energy monitoring/measurement/management and data center sustainability practices to architecture decisions.
• Leverage software systems building skills to support research outcomes and practical adoption.

Requirements

• PhD degree (or other degree with significant research and innovation experience) in a relevant discipline such as computer science, electrical engineering, math, physics, statistics, or mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated track record of world-class innovative contributions (e.g., publications in top-tier conferences/journals).
• Strong background in computer architecture and distributed computing environments.
• Experience developing innovative solutions (e.g., proofs-of-concept, first-of-a-kind solutions, and/or technology transfer).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.
• Ability to work independently and in teams in an applied research environment.
