What you will do

• Serve as the single point of contact for local trade compliance authorities and country management on hirify.global (deemed) exports, cross-border shipments, customers, and vendors.
• Oversee compliance with customs, sanctions, and export control regulations, and ensure trade compliance standards, procedures, and records are created, documented, maintained, and archived.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of hirify.global’s Global Trade Program in Finland and across the Nordic cluster, ensuring alignment with legal/regulatory requirements and hirify.global governance standards.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance trade compliance processes, controls, and monitoring mechanisms to support risk management and operational compliance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to country management and stakeholders; lead the trade compliance community through guidance, coaching, and capability building.
• Monitor risk areas and compliance trends, provide updates and recommendations, and develop/deliver trade compliance training and awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Law, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant trade compliance experience, with strong expertise in at least one of customs, export controls, or sanctions, and working knowledge of the others.
• Solid understanding of trade compliance governance, internal controls, and risk assessment in an international business environment.
• Proven ability to provide clear, practical, risk-based advice on complex regulatory and operational matters to business and functional stakeholders.
• Experience with trade compliance topics including tariff classification, origin, free trade agreements, customs procedures, export controls, and sanctions (including U.S. export control and sanctions framework).
• Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring trade compliance processes, controls, and improvement measures; strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
