Location: Must be based in Charleston, SC with mandatory deployment to Antarctica for 6 months per year.

What you will do

• Perform IT installation, maintenance, and life-cycle support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Conduct system diagnostic tests, troubleshooting, and fault isolation in both office and extreme field environments.
• Ensure all systems remain compliant with federal security policies and perform vulnerability remediation.
• Provide after-hours support for remote operational systems and aviation meteorology data processing.
• Develop and review IT maintenance schedules, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Assist in the procurement, training, and disposal of IT equipment.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a customer clearance for access to facilities and equipment.
• Must be able to perform job duties in extreme, cold, dark, work environments.
• Required to Physically Qualify (PQ) in accordance with USAP requirements for deployment to Antarctica.
• Must pass medical and dental examination prior to deployment.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• One year of experience with UNIX, Windows, and virtual environments.
