Sample Custodian (Environmental Lab)

Salary: $25 to $32 per hour

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing laboratory samples.
• Inspect shipment contents, verify documentation, and allocate sample containers to appropriate storage.
• Enter and maintain sample information within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Organize and process spent samples for disposal.
• Maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), health and safety policies, and quality control requirements.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain government security clearance.
• Experience in the storage and retrieval of samples within laboratory settings.
• Associates Degree in Physical Sciences or Business with 3+ years of lab experience, or HS Diploma with 6+ years of lab experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
