TL;DR

Data Engineer: Building and optimizing data pipelines to manage and provision complex datasets for federal analytics platforms with an accent on ETL processes, performance, and reliability. Location: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Role is based in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX with remote/hybrid options available.

Salary: $112,597.33 – $152,810.66 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and consumption.
• Write performant code to ensure reliable data extraction and processing.
• Support continuous process automation for data ingestion workflows.
• Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to implement evolving technical requirements.
• Advocate for engineering best practices including API-first design, version control, and automated testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers to deliver analytic solutions.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• 7+ years of IT experience in design and management of large, complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL process development.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and version control systems like Git.

Nice to have

• Experience creating and consuming APIs.
• Knowledge of DHS standards.
• Ability to develop visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience with Shell scripting on Linux.
