Location: Must be based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Implement and manage financial risk management programs for the BFS entity, focusing on market, counterparty, margin, and liquidity risks.
• Provide independent monitoring of risk exposures and challenge front-line risk metrics, valuation logic, and model assumptions.
• Define and review margin methodologies, including collateral practices, liquidation thresholds, and concentration add-ons.
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of extreme market events on the derivatives portfolio.
• Complete quarterly regulatory submissions under the MiFID framework, including capital requirement calculations and prudential reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into new product approvals and scalable operating processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, preferably in a second line of defense capacity.
• Direct experience in derivatives or market risk within a trading firm or brokerage.
• Strong understanding of the MiFID regulatory framework and prudential expectations for investment firms.
• Proficiency in analyzing balance sheets, capital, liquidity, and P&L implications of leveraged derivatives.
• Excellent English language skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to operate independently and challenge senior stakeholders with quantitative analysis.
