What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of fiber technicians in installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Oversee all phases of fiber optic projects from planning and execution to testing and documentation.
• Ensure a safe, productive, and high-quality work environment compliant with data center standards.
• Direct complex troubleshooting, splicing, and installation of fiber optic systems.
• Monitor signal strength and system performance to resolve issues proactively.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate cross-functional work.

Requirements

• 2+ years of direct data center experience installing and maintaining optical fiber in Tier 3 or 4 facilities.
• 1+ years of experience leading or supervising fiber optic teams in commercial or data center environments.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Ability to work in tight quarters and lift up to 35lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable working at elevated heights up to 50 feet.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Certification in fiber optics (FOA, BICSI, or equivalent).
• Advanced expertise in fiber splicing and OTDR testing.
• Experience in AI/HPC data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Proficiency with fiber management software and electronic testing systems.
