What you will do

• Develop fault-tolerant Java code within Apache Spark to produce platform products for querying event pipelines.
• Design, develop, and maintain ultra-high-scale data platforms processing petabytes of data.
• Participate in technical reviews and develop new features to enhance system stability.
• Improve the efficiency and reduce latency of high-performance services.
• Research and implement efficient ways for stakeholders and customers to query data and extract results.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend/cloud development and data platform engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with Apache Spark, Flink, Iceberg, or comparable GCP tools.
• 5+ years of programming experience in Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Proven expertise in distributed systems design, algorithms, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience building large-scale data and event pipelines.
• Expertise with relational SQL (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, DynamoDB).

Nice to have

• Experience with Go.
• Knowledge of Pinot or other time-series/OLAP-style databases.
• Experience with Iceberg, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Parquet, and Protocol Buffers/gRPC.
