What you will do

• Lead conceptual and detailed design of parachute deployment systems.
• Own technical documentation including requirements, design reports, and test plans.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate systems into the vehicle architecture.
• Evaluate mechanical and thermal loads, material selection, and interface requirements.
• Perform sizing calculations and define development test plans from concept to qualification.
• Coordinate with suppliers for hardware sourcing and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in space systems engineering, specifically in deceleration systems or mechanisms.
• Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (e.g., Siemens NX, Hyperworks) and structural sizing calculations.
• Understanding of space design principles, materials, and mechanism design.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with industry standards and DFMR.
