The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle capable of cargo transport and orbital refueling.

What you will do

• Design and optimize turbomachinery components for high-thrust rocket engines.
• Perform rotor dynamics analysis to specify requirements for cryogenic pump components.
• Conduct and review turbopump architectural trades and document consequential design decisions.
• Manage external subcontractors and maintain communication with suppliers.
• Implement analytical models for geometric and mechanical problems using software.
• Collaborate with development engineers to refine and validate component designs.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or Bachelor's with substantial relevant experience).
• 3-5 years of proven experience working with fast rotating machinery.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, mechanical design, and rotordynamics (specifically bearings and rolling elements).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and scripting in Python.
• Nationality: Must be a national of an ESA Member State (e.g., EU, UK, Canada, Norway, Switzerland).
• Language: Good knowledge of English or French is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes.
