Location: Must be based in San Francisco or Vancouver with an office-centric hybrid schedule (standard in-office days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 CAD

What you will do

• Translate overarching company strategy into actionable engineering and operating plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
• Design and build lightweight operating models and frameworks to optimize execution, integrating AI agentic engineering workflows.
• Hire, mentor, and lead a global team of engineering operations professionals and Technical Program Managers.
• Oversee financial and resource governance, including budget management, headcount strategy, and vendor allocations for cloud and LLMs.
• Define and own the engineering metrics program (KPIs) to provide data-driven insights to leadership.
• Act as a proxy for the CTO, driving engineering communication strategies, roadmap reviews, and all-hands forums.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in engineering operations, technical program management, chief-of-staff, or strategy & operations roles.
• Experience supporting a large software engineering organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial and analytical fluency, with experience owning budgets and building headcount models.
• Exceptional technical fluency and deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for tailoring messaging from executive summaries to operational reviews.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the San Francisco or Vancouver offices.
